In Chicago’s southwest suburbs, Kathy Dames has become synonymous with residential real estate over the last 35+ years. Having grown up in a family with deep roots in the real estate brokerage business, it seemed only natural that Kathy would take that same path after graduating with a degree in marketing from Northern Illinois University.

She earned her real estate license in 1983 and quickly realized that the people-oriented residential side of the business suited her perfectly. In 1986 she affiliated with RE/MAX, joining the Joliet office where she specialized in working with home builders, and over the following two decades played a key role in successfully marketing 18 new communities across the southwest suburban area.
